Bose Brothers established in 1962 is a partnership firm for the professional practice of Architecture, Urban Design Interior Design and Landscape design. We have a wellqualified multi-disciplinary Staff and along-with our experienced team of Specialists and Consultants, we are in a position to provide integrated design services starting right from techno-economic feasibilities to completion of the project.
The firm currently employs highly qualified professional and technical staff of 30 and an administrative staff of 8 in addition to the principals of the partnership.
We over the past decades have acquired a rich and vast experience in the field of Building/Planning/Interior Designing both in India and Abroad. Ours is a wellestablished organization, having two Offices at Delhi and one Calcutta and are engaged in a number of projects of distinction. A branch office in Mumbai and project offices are used from time to time to fit the needs of a particular project.

Mr. Kunal Bose: As the Principal Architect, Mr. Kunal Bose leads the firm’s vertical of architecture and urban design. He evolves design concepts for a wide range of projects which are diverse in scale and nature. Subsequently he works on design development through an intensive process of iteration after which he elaborates on the detailing of the various aspects of the building.

Mr. Kunal Bose: As the Principal Architect, Mr. Kunal Bose leads the firm’s vertical of architecture and urban design. He evolves design concepts for a wide range of projects which are diverse in scale and nature. Subsequently he works on design development through an intensive process of iteration after which he elaborates on the detailing of the various aspects of the building.
Mr. Bose is also involved in code reviews, space standard development, and coordination with consultants as well as site supervision. With a qualification in Consultancy Management, he overlooks various aspects of project management including bidding and negotiations.
As a designer, Mr. Bose is known for a sensitive approach towards creating humane environments. His forte lies in integrating traditional methods of space planning and detailing drawn from a vast repertoire of historical Indian architecture with contemporary idioms of design to create architecture rich in form and tectonics. His work reflects his methodology of integrating the built and open spaces into a harmonious and cohesive entity.
Mr. Bose also ensures that his designs are contextual to site conditions, the urban fabric and the socioeconomic parameters of the locations where the buildings are to be planned and constructed. He employs latest construction technologies in his designs and is well versed with the nuances of creating sustainable architecture.

She also supervises the execution of the design through interaction with contractors and vendors as well as site co-ordination.

Ms. Sanju Bose: Ms. Sanju Bose leads the firm’s vertical of landscape architecture and community planning. She is involved in evolving design concepts and design development including detailing and coordination with services for large scale projects. She also supervises the execution of the design through interaction with contractors and vendors as well as site co-ordination.
As a designer Ms. Bose approaches projects with a keen sense of innovativeness in developing appropriate and context specific solutions. Her designs are intrinsic to the site and the regional ecology of the place where the project is located thus making them environmentally sustainable in content. She also experiments with material vocabulary which adds a rich dimension to her multi-faceted work. Another of her core specialization is the application of environmentally sustainable techniques to landscape design.
Ms. Bose also contributes to architecture projects with her inputs in design concepts and design development.
We opened a sister concern, an Architecture firm Specializing in Landscape in the year 2000 under the managed by the partners (Mr. Kunal Bose and Sanju Bose (with Mrs. Sanju Bose being the listed proprietor of the firm)

Sandip Bose is a graduate Architect from the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. He has professional experience of over 29 years in various fields of Architecture and Planning works. He has designed and developed a wide variety of projects of different sizes and scales. His outlook focuses on the sharing of futuristic spatial imagination and sensitive modern architectural design stressing on attention to detail and sensitivity to costs.
The responsibility as an associate includes bidding for new projects, tendering and negotiation
He handles project management and administration of all projects being handled by the firm in Kolkata.
PHILOSOPHY
Bose Brothers was founded on the conviction that problems of innovative architectural design & urban planning demand a multi-disciplinary approach to the solution. Design is also viewed as an action – oriented problem-solving process that demand the study of alternative approach of action related to the costs and benefits of such action and to ultimate goals of the client.
The firm also believes that for urban development to be compatible with man’s needs and preserve man’s resources, ecological guidelines must be followed. To meet this multi-disciplinary approach each of the two partners and senior members of the staff, bring to the firm technical background and experience from variety of disciplines. Each project undertaken by the firm receives participation and supervision by at least one of the partners.
